The new VDA 6.3:2023 has been published! But what does it mean to me?
A new edition is published by the Association of the German Automotive Industry.

Changes of the new edition at a glance

• Audit process omitted, only reference to ISO 19011
• Process audit service not applicable - initiation of independent project group VDA 6.8
• New question allocation / evaluation of the potential analysis - changed evaluation limits
• Revision of the question catalog - change and deletion of some questions
• Remote audits are considered (recommendation table for remote audits)
• There will be no questions on supply chain law, CSR, human rights, environment, etc.
• Pointing out the interaction with other audit methodologies such as Automotive Spice
• Linking to other updated VDA regulations such as the RGA.
• Addition of software aspects in the planning of quality related activities
• Supplier management is integrated in P2-P4 new questions
• New assignment of "*" questions
• Auditor training:
• For 2nd party auditors an examination obligation (written oral) is also proclaimed in the yellow volume!
